What is WHEP?

The Women’s Health Education Program was
the first in the nation in 1993 to lead the
effort to include holistic (non-reproductive
and reproductive) health education for girl’s
and women in a medical school curriculum
We are designated as a DHHS National
Center of Excellence in Women’s Health

Ana Núñez, MD

Dr. Núñez is the
Director of WHEP.
She is the P.I. of the
CoE in Women’s
Health grant. She
directs all activities
and programs of
WHEP and provides
lectures on various
women’s health
topics.
Elizabeth, ‘Liz’ Thul, LSW
„
Liz is the Associate
Director of WHEP.
She co-directs the
Women’s Health
Pathway with Dr.
Núñez, as well as
provides oversight to
many administrative
areas in WHEP.
Eve Mitchell, MPH, CHES
„
Eve is the Research
Assistant with
WHEP. She is the
coordinator of the
Women’s Health
Seminar Series, and
provides oversight
to the Newsletter,
website, and bulletin
boards.
Candace Robertson, MPH
„
Candace is the
Research Manager of
WHEP. She oversees all
of the research,
community and
education activities of
WHEP, and is the
deputy director of the
CoE grant. She
provides lectures on
domestic violence.
Winnie Jones
„
Winnie is the
Executive Secretary
of WHEP. She
oversees the many
administrative areas
related to WHEP.
She assists in
community
recruitment.
