Tournament Day Expectations for Wisconsin Destination Imagination Affiliate Tournament at the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Friday-Saturday, April 15-16, 2016
Dreyfus University Center
1. Stage and stationery items cannot be moved under any circumstances (example: Encore stage). Items cannot be
moved from one room into another (example: lounge room chairs must stay in lounge area)
2. Absolutely no food or drinks in the Theater.
3. Can use only those spaces, tables, lounges that have been reserved.
4. No taping on painted surfaces, walls or doors. Glitter, helium, dry ice, Mylar balloons or candles cannot be used.
Additional charges will be assessed for cleaning, repair or fire system activation.
5. No blocked doors, hallways, exits, offices, walkways or any public area.
6. Must take all prop materials, including cardboard, with you when you leave.
7. Using an area not reserved will incur additional charges.
8. Any damage to property will result in charges to repair or replace items.
9. Only minors that are accompanied by an adult may be in the Basement Brewhaus.
Tournament Day Expectations-All Other Areas of UW-Stevens Point
10. Parking on grass, in fire lanes, handicapped parking spots is prohibited at all times. Use drop off locations assigned
for the tournament near the DUC, NFAC and HEC.
11. Dry ice is considered a hazardous material in that it can cause suffocation if not properly ventilated, cause frost bite
if touched and can explode under pressure. Dry ice use is not allowed at the tournament.
12. Doors, other than the normal doors for entrance/exit, should not be opened (example: garage doors).
13. Food and beverages are prohibited in ALL academic classrooms in the CCC, CPS, NFAC, TNR, and HEC. It is the
responsibility of Wisconsin Destination Imagination tournament directors to inform their participants of this policy
and to enforce it.
14. Food is also NOT prohibited in the MAC room in the HEC. It is the responsibility of Wisconsin Destination
Imagination tournament directors to inform their participants of this policy and to enforce it.
15. Remain off all the Gesell Institute playground equipment by the CPS and the Child Learning and Care Center
playground by Delzell Hall.
16. DO NOT CLIMB on the artwork or statues on the campus landscape, this includes the yellow, red and blue artwork
near the Health Enhancement Center.

17. Students are not allowed to use the climbing wall in the MAC room in the HEC.
18. DO NOT remove equipment or materials from any rooms, including tables and chairs.
19. The classrooms must be returned to their original set-up immediately after the competition.
20. There will not be access to any A/V equipment in the classrooms.
21. There will be no set up changes after a set date (usually four weeks before tournament). Custodial will set up the
site based on the set up diagrams submitted by Samantha Pech, Outreach Specialist, Continuing Education and
Outreach. Custodial will NOT revise your set up.
22. UW-Stevens Point athletic equipment is not be used or moved for any reason.
23. Do not move or remove any technical or electrical equipment that has been set up.
24. Any damage to property will result in charges to repair or replace items.
25. Do not use tape to hold up signs on any painted surfaces. Remove all signage after the tournament is over. Signs
put up with tape on painted surfaces will be removed.
26. Any vendors must get permission to set up and/or sell items on campus before tournament day.
