Integrate energy concepts into your school curriculum with KEEP! Learn how to enhance your students’ energy literacy. Through hands‐on activities and class discussion, help students understand what energy is, where it comes from, and how it affects their lives. You will also receive a copy of the Wisconsin K‐12 Energy Education Program’s (KEEP) comprehensive, easy‐to‐use Energy Education Activity Guide, which features various teaching strategies and assessment techniques to reach students with a broad range of abilities. Required Dates/Times: Monday, July 18 from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday, July 19 from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Instructor: Steve Knudsen Credit/Audit Options: NRES 630 Graduate Credit*: $437.20 FREE Graduate Credit** NRES 630 Audit: $127.34 FREE Audit** Registration Fee: $100 materials & registration fee applies to all participants *Graduate credit participants are responsible for paying the $100 fee, attending the course, peer teaching from the KEEP Energy Education Activity Guide during the course, and completing a class assignment to be turned in by an arranged date after the course. The assignment is designed to have teachers create a product that will support their efforts to integrate energy concepts into their classroom lessons. **Tuition Scholarships Provided by Wisconsin Utilities and KEEP Tuition scholarships of $437.20 are being provided to the first 15 participants who are practicing PK-12 teachers from Wisconsin schools. Participants pay registration fee to KEEP no later than July 1, 2016. Payment can be made by check or money order (mailed to the address below), or by credit or debit card at Eventbrite (a $6.49 service fee applies). No tax dollars were used in this production.
