Doable Renewables:
Renewable Energy Education in the Classroom
ONLY $100**!
Doable Renewables is coming to your area! This course offers renewable energy handson activities, class discussions, and classroom based application to help teachers analyze
energy information and create strategies and techniques to enhance their students’
understanding of energy. The course will highlight renewable energy curriculum
designed for teachers to use in their classroom. Applicable across the curriculum.
Location:
Mead Education and Visitor Center, Milladore, WI
(between Marshfield and Stevens Point)
Required Dates/Times: Monday, June 20 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Tuesday, June 21 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

$100 materials & registration fee applies to all participants
Fee:
*Graduate credit participants are responsible for paying the $100 fee on the first day of
class, attending the course, peer teaching from the KEEP Renewable Energy Supplement
during the course, and completing a class assignment to be turned in by an arranged date
after the course. The assignment is designed to have teachers create a product that will
support their efforts to integrate renewable energy concepts into their classroom lessons.
**Tuition Scholarships Provided by the Friends of the Mead/McMillan Association Inc.
and Wisconsin Utilities through KEEP
Scholarship funds support professional development in energy education by offsetting course
tuition costs to participants who are practicing PK-12 teachers within a 45-mile radius of the George
W. Mead Wildlife Area. Participants pay registration fee to KEEP no later than June 7, 2016. Payment
can be made by check or money order (mailed to the address below), or by credit or debit card at
Eventbrite (a $6.49 service fee applies).

Upon receipt of your registration form, KEEP will send you an email with “Receipt of
Registration-NRES 632 Milladore” in the subject line confirming your registration in
the course. If you do not receive this email within a week, please call the KEEP office
to make sure that we have received your registration and that you are enrolled in the
course. Please send $100 payable to KEEP by June 7 (non-refundable).
