Deadline extended to February 15!
Explore what led to the radicalization of Cuba’s government
and why it has welcomed normalization with the U.S. after
decades of Cold War animosity. With two experienced UWSP
faculty leaders and dozens of Cuban experts on the ground,
visit many of Cuba’s most beautiful and iconic sights – from
urban farms to tobacco plantations, underground bunkers
to fine arts museums, modern harbors to United Nations
biosphere reserves, and glittering Varadero Beach – once
and future jewel of the Caribbean – to the Bay of Pigs, where
a failed U.S.-backed invasion took place in 1961.
Eligibility
Open to students in all majors with a minimum 2.50
cumulative GPA. Students from other universities are welcome
to apply.
