Alabama Center for the Arts A par tnership with Athens State University, the Alabama Center for the Arts in Downtown Decatur is the home of highquality instruction in ar ts programs like graphic design, drawing, painting, ceramics, and photography, among others. Phase II will open in 2016 and house the performing ar ts. Calhoun’s Huntsville/Cummings Research Park campus is the only two-year college campus in the nation located in a major research park. A $34M construction/ renovation project is currently underway at the campus that will provide increased access and a more collegiate environment for students. Transferability Calhoun students who complete an Associate of Science in General Studies and transfer to a public university in Alabama have guaranteed transferability of their courses by following a STARS guide from the Statewide Transfer and Ar ticulation Repor ting System at stars.troy. edu . A student who follows the guide for their major at their transfer university can arrive at the university as a junior. Courses will also transfer to private colleges, universities, and outof-state universities through ar ticulation agreements.
