Navigation Acts affected colonial society.
I can describe the characteristics of colonial society. This means I can describe the roles of men,
women, and children in colonial America. I can also list the class differences that existed.
I can explain how slavery started and affected colonial life. This means I can describe the conditions
of enslaved Africans, explain why slavery became part of the colonial economy, and the restrictions
placed on enslaved Africans in the colonies.
