Proposed Amendments to Special Consideration Procedures to Allow
Streamlining of Student Application Process for End-of-Semester
Centrally Scheduled Examinations

Recommendation:
That LTC:
1.
Notes the new online special consideration application process for
end-of-semester, centrally-scheduled examinations to be
implemented from Summer Semester 2015-16.
2.
Approves the proposed changes to the Special Consideration
Procedures as tracked in the attached.
3.
Endorses the proposal that the DEF grade be identified as an
administrative indicator, which will allow the Unit Teaching Faculty to
finalise and communicate special consideration outcomes for
deferred exams (with noting by Boards of Examiners).
