I’m writing to ask for your support to attend the University of Texas at Austin Charles A. Dana Center’s
Summer 2015 Professional Learning in Austin, Texas. The Dana Center is offering several sessions
relevant to my work. Attending this professional learning will also give me the opportunity to network
with fellow K-12 Texas educators.
After reviewing the offerings, I have identified the following session as a best fit, <insert title of Dana

my practice, and ultimately the success of our students. This session will provide me with new

Each session will be led by an experienced Dana Center facilitator—with an extensive background in
teaching—and is grounded in the latest information from the field of education, including educational
research and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Attending this professional learning has
the potential to greatly reduce the time and costs that would typically lie with an individual or school
researching the content the Dana Center includes at the core of their professional learning.
As I begin to plan my summer professional learning, I am seeking sponsorship for the registration fee and
travel expenses. The full-price registration fee is <insert full price of session(s)> but can be reduced by
