 This is not an assessment of a specific instructor, course, or program.

 This is an assessment of a specific aspect of one General Education goal and the General Education program.

 The GEAC will combine findings from various courses to determine how well students are achieving the

General Education Learning Goals.

 The Performance Levels reflect the idea that educating students for the learning outcome is developmental in nature.

 Consider the Performance Levels as absolute standards for a universityeducated person, not one that is relative to your course or major.

 In lower-level or introductory courses, a performance level of 3 or 4 might be extremely rare, although not impossible. Students scoring at levels

1 or 2 may be expected and appropriate.
