PATIENT RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
GRANT
All students have a right to humane,
competent, and confidential treatment.
Students are expected to cooperate and
participate in their care by providing accurate
information and feedback concerning their
condition, treatment, and individual needs.
At all times there should exist an atmosphere
of mutual respect.
Clinical Services is a participant in a federal
grant program through MFHS (Maternal And
Family Health Services Inc.) that provides
discount pricing for annual exams, pap
smears, and certain types of birth control.

Beck Hall. Access is by the front door of the
Health and Wellness Center located on the
DMZ side of the building.

GYNECOLOGICAL SERVICES
Students may schedule an appointment for
 Annual Exam (with Pap Smear if indicated)
 Birth Control
 GYN Problems
 Emergency Contraception
 Pregnancy Testing
 STD Testing for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea
PROVIDER
Provider Services are offered by a Physician
Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner.
PREGNANCY TESTING
Pregnancy Testing is available during regular
hours of operation. Call 610-683-4082 for
an appointment.
GYN PROBLEM VISITS
GYN problem visits for common problems
such as vaginosis, yeast infections, bacterial
vaginitis etc. can be treated here.
STD testing for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea
may be performed at the GYN exam or
schedule an STD appointment. STD Testing
cannot be performed during menses.
EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION
SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT
An appointment may be scheduled by
calling 610-683-4082. You will receive an
email reminder of your appointment.
Appointments fill quickly; therefore, we
strongly suggest that you plan ahead so
we can accommodate your GYN needs.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS
Please provide 24-hours notice if you cannot
keep your scheduled appointment. Due to
the strong demand for this service,
students who miss two appointments will
lose privileges for the remainder of the
semester.
The Emergency Contraceptive is available
within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
Call Clinical Services at 610-683-4082 for
an appointment.

weekend hours.
TYPES OF CONTREACEPTIVES:
BIRTH CONTROL PILLS
Birth control pills will be available only to
students who have had a yearly exam.
Several types of pills are available. The GYN
provider will discuss your options. Patients
who are not currently on the pill will be given
three packs of pills and will be scheduled for
a 3 month follow-up appointment. After that
appointment, 3, 6 or 12 packs will be
dispensed at the discretion of the GYN
provider.
Schedule your pill pick-up visits at least
one month prior to when you need them.
If you call on short notice for a pill refill and
cannot get a timely appointment, you will be
given a prescription to have filled at the local
drug store rather than the discounted pill
price.
YEARLY EXAMS
DEPO PROVERA INJECTIONS
A yearly physical exam will be completed
until 21 years of age. A yearly Gynecological
exam with a pap smear will be performed at
age 21 years old and older. Exams must be
scheduled when you are not menstruating;
no exceptions will be made.
Students who wish to receive a Depo Provera
injection
must
schedule
an
initial
appointment with our GYN provider.
If you have previously received Depo
Provera, you will be required to provide proof
of your last injection.
Subsequent injections will need to be
scheduled at least one month prior to the
date the injection is to be administered.
