Our goal is to help you identify and take advantage of the many outstanding services and activities available to you and your family throughout Lubbock and the West Texas area. This guide contains contact information and links to websites and resources. You can use them to find out about supports and opportunities in this area, including: medical providers, specialists, social programming, community events, and family support resources. You will find information about services for individuals of all ages and across all life areas. The guide is focused on information for individuals and families of individuals with an autism spectrum disorder living in the Lubbock area, but many of these providers welcome a wide array of customers, clients, and patients. We also list providers from throughout West Texas. In addition to a list of local contacts and services, we have also included informational resources and links at the back of the guide that provide an array of information about autism, evidencebased practice in autism, navigating the special education process, and more. This list constantly evolves, so check back often. Every organization and individual in the guide welcomes people with autism, has agreed to be listed, and has been contacted by a member of the Burkhart Center team.
