MUHL 3310:
1.
Have changes been made in the way instructors (faculty or
graduate students) teaching your core courses in humanities are
trained, oriented, or supervised?
No changes since Fall 2011. Roger Landes, the IR since Fall 2009,
continues to teach the course. Angela Mariani, originating course
author, and Christopher Smith, Chair of Musicology, continue as
consultants to the course as requested, regarding this class and the
success of the students in each class.
2.
Have changes been made in the base syllabus for your core
courses in response to assessment results?
During Summer 2012 Dr. Angela Mariani added the new core
curriculum attributes for Creative Arts while retaining the existing TTU
Visual and Performing Arts core attributes.
3.
Have you adjusted the way the courses are assessed, the
examinations, or the base content in the areas listed above in
response to assessment results?
While the base content has been retained with some revisions, with
assignments, exams, and assessments redesigned as needed to better
capture the level of performance on student learning outcomes.
Consulting faculty and primary IR have informally discussed the initial
impressions on a regular basis throughout the semester. Analysis of
the success of assessments continues on an ad hoc basis, and reflects
the analysis we have done each semester.
4.
Have you made any changes in the way content is delivered
such as adding on-line modules, improving classroom technology,
using on-line quizzes or exams, making lectures available to students
on-line, or flipping the classroom?
No changes since Fall 2011.
5.
Have you made any changes in how students are provided
with help to improve their comprehension of the material such as online tutoring, face-to-face or group help sessions, etc.
No changes since Fall 2011. Written instructions and guidelines for
assignments are continually revised and these revisions are accessible
to students. IR maintained email communication with students.
