PES 213 General Physics III
Final Exam Study Guide
•
Exam date: Thursday, May 12 from 1:40 pm until 4:10 pm in our regular classroom.
•
You may use one regular (8.5” x 11”) sheet of paper (or bring your 3 index cards from
previous exams) for your formulas or any other notes or diagrams you think you may need
(front & back).
•
Required values for properties of materials will be provided.
•
Final will have at least one problem and at most two problems from each of the 12 chapters
we have studied this semester (including the most recent, Ch 39: Relativity)
•
Final will have approximately 15 questions. They will be a mix of multiple choice and
show-your-work types of problems.
•
For Show Work problems: Show all work for partial credit. Attach your own paper, if
necessary. Remember to specify units and indicate sign or direction, where appropriate.
•
We will have 2.5 hours to complete the exam.
•
Previous exams and their solutions will be available on-line.
