59A - Physician Office Notes

This is a self-paced program with learning at a distance opportunities providing mastery learning
modules in transcription of medical reports. Credit earned based on competency of each module.
Modules must be completed in sequence. Modules include: A) Physician Office Notes; B)
Radiology; C) Emergency Room Notes; D) Pathology/EKG; E) History and Physical Examinations;
F) Consultations; G) Discharge Summaries; H) Operatives - General; I) Operatives - Urology and
Reproductive; J) Operatives - Cardiovascular; K) Operatives - Orthopedics & Oncology; L) Special
Reports. Prerequisites: Health 51A Medical Terminology and Health 58 Introduction to Medical
Transcription or equivalent experience. 3 hours lab.
