Chabot College October, 1998 Removed Fall 2010 Course Outline for Health 58 Introduction to Medical Transcription and Document Format Catalog Description 58 - Introduction to Medical Transcription and Document Format 1-1/2 units Introduction to the process of dictating, equipment of transcription, formating of medical documentation, medical report requirements, and current issues in medical transcription. Prerequisites: Health 51A (completed with a grade of C or higher). Strongly recommended: ability to type 35 wpm and Computer Science 8, Health 51B.
