INTRODUCTION TO THE INTERNET
Catalog Description:
90 - Introduction to the Internet
1 unit
Introduction to the Internet and the World Wide Web. Using a web browser to traverse the Internet.
Using search programs to locate information. Retrieving files with File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Using
Telnet to access remote computer networks. Sending and receiving e-mail. Subscribing to Usenet
groups. Locating an Internet service provider. 1 hour lecture, 1 hour laboratory.

Expected Outcomes for Students:
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
