Create an effective tutor-training program, one that provides similar training for all Learning Connection tutors
in both tutoring theory, practices, and methods, as well as in the content of their tutoring area.
Expected Outcome:
A large cadre of peer tutors able to provide learning support to students in a variety of subject areas and
venues. These tutors will also provide a means for coordinating the learning support programs on campus with
one another and with classroom instruction.

fall/spring semesters*plus load for teaching tutor
training class. (99 tutors are currently enrolled.
Seven instructors--not counting PLTL instructors
and LA instructors--serve as content trainers and
liaisons to their departments. Liaisons will be
added as the project develops.)

acknowledged as we move forward to plan
staffing in 2012, when Bldg. 100 is renovated.
Right now, one IA assigned to assist with the tutor
