PROMERUS LLC JOB POSTING Job Title: Location: Analytical Scientist Brecksville, OH Job #: 07282014LL Duties/Responsibilities: Promerus LLC (http://www.promerus.com/index.asp) is searching for a dynamic individual with experience in small molecule and polymer characterization. The Analytical Scientist will be part of an analytical group of 5 scientists that supports polymer R&D and also has QC responsibility. Responsibilities will include conducting routine analyses, interpreting and reporting results, maintaining instrumentation, documenting procedures, validating test methods, developing new analytical methods, and advising others on test method capabilities. Technical Proficiencies Required: • • • • • Degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science: o Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience o Master’s degree and at least 2 years of experience Experience with small molecule and polymer characterization (particularly LC and LCMS; also GC, GCMS, Ion Chromatography, FT-IR Spectroscopy, GPC) Knowledge of statistical methods (such as Gage Reproducibility and Repeatability, Control Charting, Student’s t-Test) Proficient at operating and maintaining analytical instruments Strong knowledge of chemical properties, hazards and safe handling practices General Skills and Physical Requirements: • • • • • • • • • • • • Keen observation skills and attention to detail Quality and service-oriented mindset Motivated to achieve target objectives in timely and effective manner Decisive and action-oriented Ability to multi-task Safe work habits Good interpersonal and “team-work” skills Good written and oral communication and problem solving skills Good mechanical aptitude Computer skills necessary to support the above technical proficiencies.
