The Program management team (PMT) from DMJM was introduced. It is expected they will be approved at the next Board meeting, June 22. The members introduced themselves as Mike Robinson, Judith Rodden and Bill Versaci. They explained that they are here to facilitate what we want out of the process, rather than to dictate what should be done. They have extensive experience in the educational sector in this kind of work.

They will help with the annual audits by the Citizen’s Oversight Committee as well.

There are performance and financial audits.

There are two levels of work with this project from the perspective of DMJM.

1) The program level-overall big picture, District wide.

2) Project level, where they help define and help us, Chabot College, with specific projects.

Bob Curry shared some line item totals for furniture, computers and special equipment that were extrapolated from the list on page 14-15 of the Report of the Facilities

Committee.

Dr. Carlson said he would keep a close eye initially on all Quick Start QS projects. He will help prioritize the requests as well. However the QS requests will go to the Facility

Committee as well as the College Budget Committee. The QS criteria as established by the facilities Committee would carry weight on the decisions.

A new deadline of November 1 , 2004, has been set for QS requests. This should give everyone concerned plenty of time.

Bill O’Mahoney gave out a list that he alone arrived at, on recommendations for QS

Phase One Equipment purchase. There will be more discussion on this. He needs more help.

Computer equipment and the timing of their purchase as related to cost and current technology was discussed.

A video was shown from the recent field trip to Steel Case. It was proposed that some furniture be bought soon to test out in some campus locations, like conference rooms, to see how it works.

The meeting ended at 1:45pm next Tues. June 22 at Noon.
