Chabot Facilities Committee Minutes of July 27, 2004, noon In attendance: Robert Carlson, Stan Dobbs, Gene Groppetti, Ken Grace, Ashley Long, Marge Maloney, Jeannine Methe, Roger Noyes, Bill O’Mahoney, Tim Steele, Debbie Budd, Bob Curry, Sally Jahnke, Kathryn Linzmeyer, Judith Rodden, MacGreagor Wright, Melinda Matsuda, Mary Pastore, Steve Piatetsky, Gordon Watt, Diane Zuliani, Darrel Dolin. Meeting began at 12:10pm The new Ed. Master plan will be re-done to compliment and act as a basis for the Facilities Master Plan that is to be done as well. The Plans should be finished by January 2005. These plans are a foundation to work from when actual design and planning for renovations and construction are formulated. The Team working on the Facilities master Plan will be introduced at the Aug. 5th College Council. Also that same day there is a tour at Stanford University of smart classrooms. Judith Rodden distributed a draft manual titled: “Procedure for Proposal, Review and Approval of Quick-Start Projects”. She solicited input and received comments on ways to clarify a few items. The Facilities sub-committees broke out into groups and decided when and where their first meetings would be. There are eight sub-committees. 1) Quick Start 2) Equipment 3) Education Plan 4) Campus & Building Aesthetics, & Sustainable Design 5) Classroom Design 6) Faculty & Staff Office design 7) Security & Life Safety 8) Summer Chabot Committee technology Committee.
