o Fall Semester

BA 3302, Financial and Managerial Accounting. Prerequisites: 2.75 GPA. Concepts and terminology of accounting
and financial reporting for modern business enterprises and the relationships between accounting information and
business activities. Additionally, the course covers uses of accounting information for planning decisions about
products and services, activities and processes, suppliers and customers, organizational subunits, and time periods
as these relate to organizations in changing environments.
o Spring Semester


MGT 4376, Entrepreneurship II: discovering entrepreneurial opportunity. Generates and refines entrepreneurial
process, opportunity discovery, and entrepreneurial thinking skills; develops the knowledge base for
entrepreneurial idea assessment and problem-solving skills required for application to the recognition of viable
opportunities. Taught by Dr. Mitchell.
ENGR 4321 or IE 4331. ENGR 4321: Entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial thinking to successfully launch
technology-based products, services, ventures, intellectual property, ethics and team projects. Required for
Certificate in Technical Entrepreneurship. Prerequisite: Advanced standing. IE 4331: Individual Studies in
Industrial Engineering: engineering entrepreneurship. Prerequisite: Advanced standing and departmental
approval. This course allows students to study areas of individual interest. Taught by Dr. Wyrick.
PREREQUISITES
A junior or senior enrolled in the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering with a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Students will begin by taking a foundations course in the outside discipline in the fall semester (a business course for
engineering students). In the spring semester, engineering and business students meeting together will then take two course taught
by the Bagley Chairs in Engineering and Business where they will be coached toward achieving excellence in technology
entrepreneurship: innovation and economic growth through successful new technology-based value creation. Business and
engineering students will be actively engaged in working on projects that highlight the combined skill and perspectives of both
engineering and business.
