Meeting called at 12:03
President’s Report: PRBC – spring 2013 course cuts. 800 thousand / 19.2 FTF’s. Full time equivalent
Faculty.
Classified layoffs for 2012-13 happened last year.
Come November they may discuss 13-14 classified layoffs if Measure 30 doesn’t pass.
Reorganizational Plans might be discussed. It all depends on the November election.
Class cuts being discussed are only for spring and would have to be discussed again when fall 2013 is
planned.
Measure I – if it passes it will make up the difference between losing 30 and the cuts.
It would mean one time cuts for the year and then we would be okay. (Includes Vice President’s Report)
Secretary: Nothing to report
Treasure’s report:
Co curriculur: $2,688.11
General fund: $628.00

Seiu –An Issue was brought up. You can’t teach now if you are adjunct. Nothing in the contract says we
should. They are saying it would cost more? Have to be paid an hour of prep for every hour of teaching.
It has never come up before. It is a new district policy. Judy Walters said she would come in. It was
thought that we could ask her when she comes.
When is open enrollment ?
SEIU is not the steward of hourly specifics. It is not their job to tell you about Furlough days or Benefits.
If folks come to you about these issues don’t send them to the union but send them to HR instead
Debby: Benefits
Lydia: Anything else
Reopen or posting for in house candidates? Did not prevail yesterday that in house would get the job if
as qualified and all things were equal.
The practice is not okayed now.
