In the development of this course, the question becomes “how can I make Psychology come
alive for students?” Two corollary questions are: “ How does one apply Psychology in their
everyday life?” and “What kinds of pedagogical modifications might increase
student engagement and increase depth of learning and understanding?”

The course has worked to address depth of understanding across the major concepts
within the field of social-personal adjustment. We have accomplished this by including more
experiential and real-life exercises, and team-learning opportunities that allow for more hands-on
learning.

We plan to continue to work on increasing depth of understanding by including more
