In partnership with Cities of Fremont, Newark, and Union City through Alameda County Workforce Investment Board (ACWIB). Partnership initiated by Richard Valle, Vice-Mayor, Union City, former Chabot Foundation member, on District Bond oversight committee. Educational services to be provided through Chabot Special Programs. Developing & writing: Gerald Shimada, Matt Kritscher, Roberto Mendez & Yvonne Wu Craig Gates Foundation: Completion by Design Nov 19th $410,000 split between 4 partners for a one-year planning grant to create a pathway for a cohort of lowincome students to complete degree/transfer in 2 years. Three years implementation funding possible. Developing & writing: West Valley VPSS, Mission, Gavilan, Chabot Grants, IR, faculty ACWIB One-Stop Operator Contract Dec 1st $904,206 annual funding for operating the Eden One-Stop Center. In partnership with UC Berkeley and Merritt College. $200,000/year for five years. Asian American Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) Environmental Studies and GIS pathway with local partners HSI USDA grant working with San Lorenzo Environmental Studies Academy Development committee includes Susan Sperling, Don Plonke, and Yvonne Wu Craig Career Advancement Academy, creating a CCC Regional Center.
