Your starting point for Math and English is determined by your assessment tests. You may start at a higher or
lower level in these areas. It’s very important to start these sequences early, as they are the longest sequences
in this major and they will be helpful in all of your other courses.
Additional Requirements:
All courses in the major are required to have a grade of “C” or higher, and a cumulative GPA of 2.0
must be achieved. Admission is unlikely without a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
All transfer coursework must be completed within five years of transfer to UC, Berkeley.
Must complete at least 60 UC-transferable units.
