Chabot College PACE (mostly) Online Degree Plan
This plan is designed for Chabot PACE students who wish to take online classes and earn an
AA Degree in Liberal Arts Option 1 Emphasis 3, meet all CSU General Education Breadth requirements,
and transfer to CSUEB’s PACE in either Human Development or Liberal Studies
Note: Additional units may be required in order to meet the minimum 60 unit graduation/transfer requirements
Online PACE Courses
Take these Online courses as a PACE student to meet the above requirements.
Note: Students should take PACE classes together over a series of semesters to benefit from the
“college within a college” Learning Community that PACE offers,
then move on to the non-PACE courses, rather than mixing-and-matching.








History 7 (3 units)
History 12 (3 units, Summer only)
Psychology 1 (3 units) (3 units)
Religious Studies 50 (3 units)
Sociology 1 (3 units)
Sociology 4 (3 units, Summer only)
Health 4 (3 units, Fall only) – hybrid (3 required on-campus meetings)
English 4 (3 units, Spring only) – hybrid (5 required on-campus meetings),
prerequisite: English 1A with “C” or better
Evening PACE Courses
which Chabot does not offer Online
You will also need to complete Math requirements, which are not currently offered online at Chabot.
 Math 53 (6 units) – prerequisite required; meets AA degree requirement (not
transferable)
 Psychology 5 (4 units) – meets CSU transfer Math requirement
Non-PACE Online Classes
Then take these non-PACE Courses which are generally offered online at Chabot, to meet requirements.
 Anthropology 1 (3 units)
 Communication Studies 1 (3 units)
 Chemistry 10 (4 units)
 English 1A (3 units) – prerequisite required
 Humanities 65 or Philosophy 50 (3 units)
 Music 1 or 3 or 8 (3 units)
 Sociology 3 or Anthropology 4 (3 units) may be optional if student has other units
 PEAC Heart Rate Monitoring (1 unit PE course)
