Underlined PACE Courses are useful as General Education Requirements for students who
wish to apply to the Chabot Nursing Program and who want to participate in the
PACE Learning Community for Working Adults
Sociology 1 Online Course (3 units)
Psychology 1 Online Course (3 units)
English 102* (4 units)  English 1A* (3 units)  English 7 or 4* (3 units)
Communication Studies 1 (3 units)
History 7 or 8 (or 12/Summer--need one (3 units)

Humanities 60 or Arch 14 or Relig Studies 50(3units)-need one

 Math 53* (6 units) - or Math 65+55
**Note: Math 53 will meet the Chem 30A prerequisite but the
student must do a Prerequisite Override form.
The following PACE Classes are NOT needed for the AA in Nursing: Anthropology 1,
Geography 1 & 1L, Health 1 or 4, Psychology 33, Sociology 4, Math 31

Chemistry 30A (prereq: Math 65*, 65B or 65L) **Note: PACE’s Math 53 will meet the Chem 30A
prerequisite but the student must do a Prerequisite Override form.
Biology 31 (strongly recommended: Math 65 and eligibility English 1A)
Microbiology 1 (prereq: Bio 31 and Chem 30A or 1A; strongly recom: Anatomy 1, elig for English 1A)
Anatomy 1 (prereq: Bio 31, strongly recom: eligibility for English 1A)
Physiology 1 (prereq: Chem 30A and Anatomy 1, strongly recom: Chem 30B)
 Dental Hygiene requires Chemistry 30B, in addition to other classes listed above
For an AA Degree in Biology (Emphasis in Allied Health) additional classes of Health 1 or 4;
1 unit of PEAC, ADPE, ATHL, or DANC; and Chemistry 30B are required
