INSTRUCTIONS
1. Review www.chabotcollege.edu/PACE – see if you fit the PACE Student Criteria and if the PACE
degree pathways lead to a goal that you seek.
2. Follow the instructions “How to Apply for PACE” at www.chabotcollege.edu/PACE
3. Complete this application and attach copies of all previous U.S. college transcripts (except Chabot
or LPC)
4. Choose 1 the following methods to submit your completed PACE Application:
a. Bring your completed Application to a PACE Orientation, OR
b. Bring your application to Room 401B (slide it under the door if no one is available) OR
c. Mail your application to PACE, c/o Julie Machado, 25555 Hesperian Blvd, Hayward CA 94545
d. We do not currently accept electronic (emailed) or faxed copies.

Chabot’s Admissions & Records prior to meeting with a counselor for academic advising. You will not

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE REJECTED
IMPORTANT
PACE is NOT intended for students to take single PACE courses here and there, but for students to
take the whole, or most of, the program. You only get the benefit of being in the PACE Learning
Community if you take PACE classes, and you get more benefit the more PACE classes you take.
NOTE: If you are asking about PACE because you simply want to get into open class spaces, please
seek other open non-PACE classes or wait until the PACE class is un-restricted, as this is not what
PACE is intended for.
Getting flagged as a PACE student will help you register into restricted PACE courses at the
beginning of the registration period. It does NOT give you a higher priority number nor an earlier
registration time, NOR does it help with non-PACE courses.
PACE Students who take their General Education classes as non-PACE classes, once they are
accepted into the program, will lose their PACE status and PACE benefits such as PACE counseling
appointments.
