Work at least 30 hours per week (usually during the day from 9am-5pm)

Are Re-Entry Students: generally defined as 25 years or older and have been out of school for at least 2 years (there is no age requirement for Chabot PACE)
Have completed no more than 20 units of General Education before joining the PACE Program
(GE includes courses like English, Math, History, Science, but does NOT include courses like
Business, computers, cosmetology)
Have a goal to obtain an A.A. Degree and/or transfer to CSU or a private college for a
Bachelor ’s Degree
Are pursuing one of the following degrees: o A.A. in Liberal Arts , Option I or II with an Emphasis in Social & Behavioral Sciences o A.A. in Behavioral Science (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology) o A.A. in Early Childhood Education (General Ed classes may be taken via PACE, ECD classes must be taken outside of PACE) o A.A. in Business Administration (General Ed classes may be taken via PACE,
Business classes must be taken outside of PACE) o A.A. or B.A. in Nursing (General Ed classes may be taken via PACE prior to Nursing
Pre-requisite Sciences - which must be taken outside of PACE; separate Nursing
Application is required prior to Admission to Chabot Nursing Program, which is a 2 year full time day program). NOTE: PACE is not designed for Nursing or Dental Hygiene
Majors, but a limited number of students may be admitted if they meet the other criteria o B.A. in Human Development or Psychology or Sociology or other Social Science o B.A. in Liberal Studies or Education o B.S. in Business Administration (Business classes must be taken outside of PACE) o Another similar degree that works with the classes that PACE offers
Attend a PACE Orientation prior to admission to PACE
Make a commitment to take only PACE classes for their General Education while enrolled in PACE, generally for 4-6 semesters (not including Summers)
Complete a PACE Application including Essay and copies of all prior college transcripts
Sign a pledge that they understand these requirements and intend to fulfill them
Meet Chabot College Admissions requirements and scholastic standards
