Please describe your department / program and its mission.
The Social Work program operates with in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social
Work, which operates within the College of Arts and Sciences. The division has six full time faculty
members (as of Fall 2015) and typically has two adjunct faculty members teaching part-time.
Everyone who teaches in Social Work possesses the terminal practice degree in our discipline
(MSW). Five of the six full time members also have doctorates, and all are licensed to practice social
work in Texas.

What is your current review time-line?
The CSWE has recently issued new standards and the BASW department prefers to be reaccredited
based on the new standards. Therefore, BASW reaffirmation agenda has been postponed. The
process will begin in August of 2017 and culminate in the COA Review for Reaffirmation
Determination in October of 2018. The BASW will remain fully accredited until that date.
