The synthesis of the propargyl thiocyanate has already been reported.1,2
In a 250 mL two-necked flask equipped with a stirring bar and a nitrogen inlet were introduced
propargyl bromide (15.0 g, 0.1 mol 80 % in toluene), 70 mL of dry acetonitrile and potassium
thiocyanate (10.3 g, 0.105 mol). The mixture was stirred for 3 h under reflux. At the end, after
cooling at room temperature and then filtration, a clear yellowish brown solution was obtained.
The solvent was removed in vacuo and propargyl thiocyanate was purified by distillation. bp:
23°C (0.1 mbar), Yield: 8.5 g, 88 mmol, 88 %. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 400 MHz):  2.55 (t, 1H, 4JHH
= 2.6 Hz, CH); 3.71 (d, 2H, 4JHH = 2.6 Hz, CH2); 13C NMR (CDCl3, 100 MHz):  22.9 (d, 1JCH =
151.1 Hz, CH2); 75.8 (t, 1JCH = 255.3 Hz, CH), 76.2 (d, 2JCH = 51.4 Hz, HCC-); 111.2 (s, CN).
