I. The Graduate Council minutes are available in the Graduate School office and on the Graduate
School website at www.depts.ttu.edu/gradschool.
II. A motion was made by Jorgelina Orfila and seconded by Stephen Cook to approve the minutes
from the 9th meeting of the Graduate Council held on Thursday, June 20, 2013. The Graduate
Council approved these minutes.
III. Students admitted to Doctoral Candidacy.
The following students were admitted to candidacy for the doctorate on the recommendation of
their departments. A motion was made by Ann Hawkins and seconded by Stephen Cook with a
small correction made to the list. The Graduate Council approved these candidates.

V. Announcements
Dr. Casadonte announced that there will be a Red Raider Graduate School Expo on September 6th 7th. The flyer for the Expo is attached. The Graduate School will have another Expo on October 25
– 26th.
Dr. Casadonte announced The Graduate School’s 3rd Annual Art’s & Humanities Conference will
be held on October 25th – 27th. The Graduate School is calling for all papers that highlight research
and work in the Arts and Humanities. Flyer is attached as well.
VI. Old Business
Dr. Casadonte mentioned that the RCR sub-committee does need to meet and will work on setting a
meeting for that.

Ann Hawkins motioned to adjourn the Graduate Council meeting and Claudia Cogliser seconded
the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 2:51 p.m.
