SUNDAY MORNING ADULT FAITH FORUM Each Sunday, following the 10:00 am Liturgies, there will be an opportunity to share thoughts on the scriptures of the day and discuss some of the critical issues of being a faithful Catholic in the contemporary Church. "WE REMEMBER THEM": COPING WITH LOSS DURING THE HOLIDAYS--The loss of a loved one is difficult any time of the year, but the holidays can be especially challenging for those struggling with bereavement. If grief has changed your experience and expectations for the holidays; if the peace and joy of the season seem far removed, you are not alone. Please join us for prayer and companionship in the Friary Room on Sunday afternoon, November 25th, from 2:30-5 p.m. Members of the parish staff and community will facilitate a discussion on remembering our beloved deceased and offer personal experiences in coping with feelings of loss. Light refreshments will be served and the program will conclude with a prayer service. You are invited to bring a photo or memento of your loved one. For more information or to register for this program, please call the parish office at 617-552-6102. 2008 PLEDGE FOR THE GREATER GLORY In the next week, each parishioner should receive a letter from Fr. Bob encouraging participation in the Pledge for the Greater Glory, our annual parish support program. The goal of the program, now in its’ 6th year, is to provide a predictable source of funding for the many ministries and programs that make St. Ignatius such a wonderful and thriving parish. For parishioners who are currently part of the Pledge program, we ask that you consider an increase in your annual pledge. For those who are not yet part of the program, please consider joining the 500 families who pledged to support our parish. Once again this year, we CATHOLIC GAY AND LESBIAN CONCERNS are planning a parish trip to Jamaica to work with our sister parish, St. Anne’s. The dates are January 21st – 28th. Parishioners are responsible for their air fare (presently $400) and the cost of food and lodging (approx. $300).
