Reminders
r
PARKING - PLEASE NOTE: The parking lots
ADVERTISING IN OUR PARISH BULLETIN
adjacent to the church, across from the church
and behind the new St. Ignatius dormitory, as
well as the lot behind St. Thomas More Hall, are
all available for parishioners from Saturday
afternoon at 3:00 pm until Sunday evening. The
university asks that the parish use these lots
rather than parking on St. Thomas More Drive
due to safety concerns. There is also additional
parking in the lot behind the Archdiocesan
Tribunal building in front of St. William’s Hall
off Lake Street.
This is just a reminder to our parishioners who
are in business, asking that they consider taking
out an ad in our bulletin. PARISHCOMM does
a wonderful job every week printing our
bulletin. The ads help defray the cost of the
bulletin which is printed at no cost to the parish.
By participating as a sponsor, you are helping
the parish in a variety of ways (not just
financially) and making members of the parish
aware of your goods and services.

SERVING THE POOR
AND HOMELESS OF
BOSTON IN A SIMPLE,
UNDEMANDING WAY?
Parishioners from St. Ignatius have begun a
ministry of visitation and presence to the
residents of Barbara McInnis House, a respite
care facility in Jamaica Plain. An Art program
is already being launched by members of our
parish. There are also opportunities to host
occasional celebrations, plan patient activities,
participate in simple prayer services or simply
sit and talk with people who are struggling to
recover from illness and injury. Join other
parishioners to learn how you can be a caring
companion to someone in need by attending a
special training and orientation session on
Sunday, October 16th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at
the McInnis House. A light lunch will be
served and carpooling will be arranged from the
parish. Come learn about the work of Boston
Healthcare for the Homeless, and find out how
you can contribute in a simple, personal way to
the care and healing of some of our homeless
brothers and sisters. Please call or email the
rectory office (617-552-6102 or ignatius@bc.edu).
