INCREASES IN NATIONAL INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS
I n summing up t h e d i s c u s s i o n i n C a b i n e t l a s t w e e k , t h e P r i m e
M i n i s t e r s a i d more t i m e was n e e d e d t o s t u d y t h e d e t a i l s of t h e
about c o n t r i b u t i o n s , p a r t i c u l a r l y t h e b u r d e n on t h e

The i n c r e a s e was k e p t down t o t h i s l e v e l b y c h a r g i n g
t h e employer more t h a n t h e employee (jdf/ 3 s . 3d- i n 1365 and 2 s . 3 d .
1967)5 b u t t h i s c o u r s e h a s b e e n r u l e d o u t on t h e p r e s e n t
