FORGIVENESS & THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE A Conversation with Richard Moore Founder of Children in Crossfire October 13 5:30 pm McGuinn 121 Boston College Richard Moore will address how in the face of conflict and violence people and communities can practice forgiveness and create justice. Blinded by a British soldier with a rubber bullet as a ten-year old boy during “The Troubles” in Northern Ireland, Moore sought out the soldier in order to forgive him. Motivated by his experience of violence and forgiveness, Moore has dedicated his life to helping communities move toward justice and reconciliation. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama calls him “not only my friend but my hero.” Moore has founded Children in Crossfire, a nonprofit that works to help children suffering the injustices of poverty and to protect their rights around the world.
