Rules
1.
You must show all work for credit on all problems. The work must match the
answer. The answer must be written in the box provided.
2.
A leading zero must be placed before any number that begins with a decimal
point.
3.
No trailing zeros are to be added.
4.
The unit of measure must be given with the numeric answer for all problems.
The units must be written or abbreviated using only acceptable notation.
5.
Rates are expressed in an amount per unit time. Example: ml/min, mg/min,
mcg/kg/min, ml/hr. If any portion is omitted, then the answer is incomplete
and will not receive credit.
6.
Rounding of numbers may only be done on the final answer. When rounding,
0.1 to 0.4 is rounded down and 0.5 to 0.9 is rounded up.
7.
When calculating drops per minute on IV solutions, round final answers to the
nearest whole number.
8.
No partial credit will be awarded for calculations. The answer must be
mathematically correct, rounded (or not) correctly, have leading zeros where
indicated, with the correct unit(s) of measure, and all work must be shown to
receive credit.
