Introduction
The Advanced Control Unit (ACU) is a hot pluggable unit optimal for use in both
embedded or stand-alone applications. It can provide remote monitoring,
configuration, status information and control of the telecom site's overall function,
voltages, currents, temperatures and related alarms.
When used together with external supervision modules, the ACU can present
detailed information and alarms regarding the condition and status of the telecom
site's AC mains supply, diesel gensets, DC power plant, battery backup, smoke
detectors, fans, doors, site environment (temperatures, humidity) and etc.
If maintenance and site visits, related to the telecom site, are based upon this
information, they can be optimized to save both time and money, especially if the
site is located remotely.
The information and alarms, from a specific site, can be monitored or checked by
means of a simple web browser or special monitoring software. When using a web
browser, no additional software is needed and the web browser login to monitor the
site is password protected.
Designed for global use, the ACU withstands high telecom standards, and provides
great reliability and availability.
