Clough Global Fellows in Residence
The Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy at Boston College will
appoint Global Fellows in Residence during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Clough Global Fellows in Residence will hold academic or other professional
positions related to constitutional democracy outside the United States. Academics
or practitioners on sabbaticals from their home institutions are ideal candidates for
these positions. Fellows will have the opportunity to spend up to one semester at the
Clough Center at Boston College.
The Fellows will become integral members of the Clough Center, contributing to its
intellectual life. They will have access to an office, computer, as well as extraordinary
research facilities. Limited financial assistance may be available on a case-by-case
basis, although applicants are expected to have resources and funding of their own.
The Clough Center is one of the most distinguished centers for the study of
constitutional democracy in the world. It is a highly interdisciplinary center, which
brings together jurists, economists, political scientists, historians, theologians,
philosophers, and sociologists. The Center is a hub for thinking innovatively about
the challenges of political and social organization in the twenty-first century. More
information is available at www.bc.edu/cloughcenter.

Applicants should submit:
• An updated CV or resume
• A five-page statement on the project the Fellow will undertake while in residence
• A writing sample (scholarship, policy reports, legal briefs are some of the
accepted samples)
• Three references with contact details (no letter is required at the time of
application)
Deadline
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis but applicants are strongly encouraged to
submit their materials before June 1, 2013.
