COME AWAY FOR THE WEEKEND
This coming winter, St. Ignatius will be offering a women’s retreat at the Sacred Hearts
Retreat Center in Wareham. Women of all ages are invited to a weekend away from 3pm on Friday,
February 5th, through lunch on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Unlike the parish retreats, this retreat will not
be silent, and will feature opportunities to relax, rest, pray, and talk with other women about life’s
experiences. The cost of the weekend is $145 per participant and includes lodging and all meals. To

LITTLE ROCK BIBLE GROUP HOLIDAY PARTY- Just when you thought the holidays were over,
there’s one more party to go to. The Little Rock Holiday Pot Luck party will be held on Saturday, January

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT INFORMATION – We will be doing a new Christmas Pageant this year, and all
students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 are welcome to join us in putting it on! The following are the

CONFIRMATION INFORMATION
Students in both years of our Confirmation program (including Catholic school students who do not
attend our classes) are required to attend one retreat over the course of the 2009 – 2010 academic year. If
your children did not make the October retreat, s/he is expected at the retreat in March from dinner on
Friday, March 5 – to liturgy at 4pm on Saturday, March 6.

THE SACRAMENTS
BAPTISM
Adults are baptized at the Easter Vigil as part of the Rites of Christian Initiation for
Adults. Infant and child baptisms are by arrangement.
FIRST EUCHARIST
Preparation occurs in Grade 1 and includes classes, retreats and home instruction.
CONFIRMATION
Our Confirmation program begins in the 9th grade. Students are confirmed in the
Spring of the 10th grade. Young adults who have been catechized but are not yet
confirmed should contact the rectory for an alternative program.
MATRIMONY
Must be registered as a parishioner six months prior to beginning Marriage
arrangements.
RECONCILIATION
Saturdays 3:15 - 3:45 PM Upper Church or by arrangement
