NEW ENGLAND PROVINCE ADVENT PODCASTS - MEDITATIONS AND REFLECTION - In
preparation for Christmas, the New England Province of Jesuits has created a series of Advent podcasts
– meditations and reflections by Jesuits intersecting themes of Advent and Ignatian spirituality. Shane
Ulbrich, a theology student at Boston College, interviewed several Jesuits and edited their reflections on
Scripture passages, personal experiences and spiritual practices into four inspirational podcasts: The
content is posted on www.sjnen.org/AdventReflections.
For Christmas, we invite you to
remember your loved ones by making a
contribution for the purchase of
poinsettias in their memory.
These plants will adorn the worship
space in the Upper and
Lower Church. An acknowledgement
of the contribution will appear in the
weekly bulletin
If you would like to donate, please out the form below and return it to the rectory by December
23rd, together with your donation.

OUTREACH MINISTRIES
CHRISTMAS GIFT DRIVE 2010 is history! Thank you for your overwhelming
generosity. And a big thanks to the Gift Drive Coordinator, Ann Carmola. Over 725
gifts are on their way to some great people. In addition, eight parish families
provided gifts for the members of eight refugee families in Lynn and another
family is helping provide gifts for children in a family experiencing a medical
emergency.
SHATTUCK FOURTH TUESDAY, that is, our serving dinner to hopeFound’s
Shattuck Shelter Guests and providing desserts, will take place this month,
on December 28th. Since many of our regular bakers might be away, it
would be much appreciated if we had donations from other parishioners.
Desserts (with no nuts or alcohol) can be dropped off at the Rectory on Monday
or before 4PM on Tuesday. And, servers are needed for this holiday-time outreach,
so if you’d like to serve on the 28th, call Sr. Diane (617-552-6107) and she’ll fill you in on
the details.
CELEBRATING OUR UNIQUENESS: CALLED TO BE LIGHT FOR THE WORLD
THIRD ANNUAL WOMEN’S RETREAT
The women of the parish are warmly invited to come away for the weekend of February 4-6, 2011 on our
annual women’s retreat. Take time for yourself (or give time to a woman who is important in your life!)
to be with God and other women of the parish. We will once again be retreating to Sacred Hearts Retreat
Center in Wareham, where opportunities for individual and communal prayer, spiritual direction, and
massage will be offered.
For more information or to register, please contact Amy Chapman at
617.552.6103 or chapmaab@bc.edu.
