Summary of Meeting held on 3 June 2014
Facility Time
Department Trade Union side (DTUS) advised that there was nothing to discuss today.
It was noted that the quarterly Facility Time return has been completed.
Pay
The Director of Operations & Human Resources met formally with DTUS and the
National Representatives on 30th May and put forward TNA Pay offer via the PCS
representative for 2014/15.
HR Policies





Document Handling Policy: DTUS has agreed narrative for Manual Handling Policy
with Head of Collection Care. The policy has now been published.
Conflicts of Interests Policy: The policy has been agreed and published.
Alcohol Substance Misuse Policy: This policy is being reviewed.
Pattern of Work Policy: This policy is being reviewed.
Home Working Policy: Resourcing & Organisational Development Manager is
working with the Head of Estates & Facility on this policy which will distinguish
home workers, from those working in a flexible way.
Departmental Issues
Norwich Office: The members of staff based at the Norwich office are clear about what
is happening to the office in the future. It was noted that the Resourcing &
Organisational Development Manager will visit the Norwich office every 4 to 6 weeks to
keep people informed.
Performance Management
The Performance Appraisal Appeal Panel will be held on 31st July 2014.
A meeting will be held with DTUS in August after the outcome of submitted
performance appraisal appeals.
Equality & Diversity
The Equality & Diversity Co-ordinator has started and attended her first Equality &
Diversity Working Group meeting.
Any Other Business
FDA
A DTUS representative advised that he has stepped down from the FDA Committee.

DTUS noted that this was Interim Chief Executive’s last Departmental Whitley Council
meeting and thanked him for his time.
