Marketing, Public Relations Intern
Description/Requirements:
The Alabama Kidney Foundation is in need of an intern with a communications, marketing, nonprofit, or
public relations background. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is a self-starter and has
fresh ideas! It would be a plus to be able to work with corporate sponsors, board members, volunteers and
be a positive reflection of the AKF in the community.
Responsibilities:
 Planning, marketing, and implementing a new event, “Best of the Bay – Burgers & Brew”
 Planning a physician’s education symposium
 Planning patient education conference
 Initial planning of stocking stuffer events
 Initial planning of annual “Walk-a-thon”
 Corporate Sponsorship
 Media Coverage planning/writing
 Office clerical (updating planning event binders, filing, excel data updating, social media
updating, etc.)
