Job Summary:
Provide administrative support, motivation, leadership and supervision to a
unit of Social Workers in Child Protective Services (CPS) Assessment and Investigations Unit.
This position must assess all social work interventions with families to ensure that they comply
with state laws and federal mandates, and ensure that all case decisions have the primary focus
of safety and well being of children. This position builds partnerships with community agencies,
participates in court proceedings, plans and facilitates the work flow of the unit, shares on-call
supervision with other supervisors, and interacts with families being served. Participates on the
agency’s management team to facilitate the provision of quality services to clients. Employee
must possess superior organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and
be able to demonstrate a commitment to quality service provision in all activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
MSW with 2 years experience preferred or BSW and 2 years CPS
experience
CPS Pre-service Training (Mandatory)
Legal and Medical Aspects of CPS (Preferred)
Child Development in Families-at-Risk (Preferred)
The Effects of Separation and Loss on Attachment (Preferred)
Equivalent Training/Experience
Salary: $49,145
