Uncovering a Dark Chapter
“The Romanian Holocaust is a dark, complex, and
difficult chapter of Romanian history. Hundreds of
thousands of Jews were systematically murdered by
the fascist dictatorship of Marshal Ion Antonescu.
Today many Romanians deny this ever happened
and maintain that the Shoah did not take place on
Romanian soil. What factors led to this brutal period
and why was it so desperately hidden?”
