from the Sun. Determine the equilibrium temperature of the Earth, assuming that
the Earth is a blackbody, but with an albedo of 0.39 (39% of the incident sunlight
is reflected). Is the Earth’s internal heat important? How does the temperature you
compute compare to the actual mean temperature of about 280K? If it is different,
speculate as to why?
