1) Assessment Calendar—New venture to improve our coordination of electronic surveys.
a. Training on how to access and utilize the assessment calendar- everyone got step by step
instructions as to how to access the assessment calendar, add it to favorites and add an
appointment(actually add a survey to the calendar). We will post these instructions to the
assessment webpage for future access. Everyone should go to their computers and try to add
an assessment survey to the calendar—just like you would add an appointment. Let Angi know
if it works or doesn’t work.
b. Editors of calendar- Angi passed around the list of editors that can add and change assessment
appointments on the calendar to make sure the departments had the correct individuals having
the ability to access and utilize the calendar. Will send this out with minutes. Contact Angi with
changes.
c. Types of assessments to be added to the calendar- all electronic assessments should be added
to the calendar so we can track how many electronic surveys are going out to students and
faculty. The calendar also allows for the opportunity to collaborate. Example- if a department
needs to ask students only two questions, instead of creating a survey that goes out to all
students they could add the two questions to another survey that is being implemented.
d. Additionally, if two units are planning large scale electronic surveys at the same time, they may
want to communicate and see if there are alternate times or ways that they could take random
samples together so as not to sample the same students.
2) iTouches – We currently have 28 iTouches available for reserve. We will be getting 2 more from
StudentVoice. These can be reserved for surveys by contacting Angi via email or phone. We also have
chargers that allow you to charge 4 iTouches at the same time which will also be provided when the
iTouches are utilized. We will make sure the iTouches are charged and ready to go when you check
them out but it is your responsibility to make sure they stay charged. Also, it is up to the borrowing unit
to be accountable for the iTouches so that all get returned. Your unit will be responsible for replacing
“lost” iTouches.
3) Assessment Plan/Report Reviews
a. Due Sept 15th – we got two plans/reports in and others will be ready shortly, if your department
will be doing a Sept plan/report then let your reviews know if it will be a few weeks late. Once
your plans are up and ready to be reviewed, contact Angi and she will contact the reviewers.
b. Who’s doing which dept.?
c. Rubrics & Agenda sent out via email- these have been sent out to council members, take a look
at them to find out who you are reviewing
4) StudentVoice
a. Upload attachments- went through the process to upload attachments to StudentVoice. Angi will
write up step by step instructions and send them out to the council
b. Copy from previous year- went through how to copy the goals from the previous year and paste
them to the next year. Angi will write up step by step instructions and send them to the council.
c. Font- went through how to change the font and size. Angi will write up step by step instructions
and send them to the council.
d. Performance indicators- OSU will soon have some benchmarks that will help departments
determine if they are reaching the goals set forth by OSU. Angi will write up step by step
instructions and send them to the council on how to access this information and compare it to
your department’s results.
e. Webinars- you can access all the StudentVoice webinars by logging in and going to the home
page. Follow the links.

It was asked for a blog be written about coordinating an assessment calendar that allows for all
the departments to see the assessments in the division. Angi will be writing a blog about the
assessment calendar and the process of creating it, its uses and benefits.
Many thanks to Angi for her wonderful work with the assessment calendar and her willingness to write up
some protocols for using student voice, setting up and keeping track of iTouches that are loaned out,
etc.!!!
