Human Services Senior Practitioner Position Number – 2654BR The assessor is responsible for assessing allegations of abuse, neglect and dependency regarding children under the age of 18 years. The assessor will interview all minor children, parents and caretakers, collateral (professional and non-professional) contacts, work closely with other professionals as necessary, document all case activity within 7 days of each contact, keep track of client contacts through the Day Sheet database, and preparing cases for transfer to other providers within Child Welfare as needed. Assessors must have thorough knowledge of Child Welfare statues, policies and procedures, and effective social work practice must be maintained by the employee. *NOTE - A criminal background check will be conducted. Strong written and communication skills, organizational skills and decision making skills. Flexible after normal work hours.
