HSSP - CPS Position Number 2779BR Description Serve on a blended team in the Southern part of the county. Provide and coordinate In Home services for children and their families who have been found in need of services or substantiated for abuse and/or neglect. The In Home worker is responsible for assessing risk throughout the life of a case, by assisting parents with completing goals on their case plans. The In Home worker will petition the court for custody of children when the need arises, which will result in testifying in court and writing court reports. The In Home worker will assess reports on their own caseloads and reports unrelated to their caseload as the need arises. Assignment Status Full Time Minimum Requirements Master's degree in Social Work and one year of experience in social work or counseling; or equivalent. Preferred Experience, Skills and Training (beyond the minimum requirements defined by the class) Child Welfare experience as an In Home worker in North Carolina desired. NC Pre-service training preferred.
